In business, time is money and what SEO can mean for businesses is two-fold. SEO or Search Engine Optimization allows for your business content to be maximized in any particular search engine. This will make it easy for people to find you and your business. Second, the optimization of any content done in a fresh and original way will bring more business to your door. By use of fully optimized ads and content, your business site will not only rank higher, but will also bring more people that are looking for what you have to offer.
If you are unfamiliar with using SEO, here is a bit of a primer for business. When you are writing content for your site, you need to have high ranking keywords in your site and in any advertisements so that not only you will get a higher ranking on Google and other search engines, but the use of high ranking keywords will also allow for you to have more people to see your business. To begin, you would create an account with Google AdWords. You would then do research on the highest ranking keywords for your particular niche.
After writing your advertisement, you would need to decide how much per click you want to pay for your advertisement. After this is decided then you may want to run an AB test on one or more sites in order to decide which one is the more valued. Then your advertisement will go live. Here is a helpful hint. You might want to have more than one advertisement running during the 30 day period. 30 days is also how long that it will take you to begin your ranking with Google and other search engines. It takes time to rank your business through Google.
In the meantime, you need to make your page friendly to the spiders that will visit your page at Google’s request. Now if you have had 30 days, then you may want to check your ranking with Alexa and Google’s Page Rank for your ranking compared to others. Here is a possible problem that many businesses don’t understand. If your page ranking starts to fall, there are three possible consequences that you may not know about. The first is a page that has not been updated. The second is a change in code which will cause the spiders not to rank your page as high and the third is that content needs to be re written or a new campaign needed.
That is, in a nutshell how things should go when you are ranking your business pages. Remember, for the best results, a little tweaking may be required in order to get the best effect for you and your business. Remember also that the higher you rank in a search engine, the more business that you will receive as a result of that driven traffic to your doorstep. That is what SEO will do for business and your business in particular. It will drive business to your door.

SEO has been considered many things such as both a bane and a help to businesses online. However, the question has been raised about SEO being a scam. Fortunately, SEO is NOT a scam. The definition of a scam is basically something that promises you something for a determined amount of money but never delivers after taking your money. So SEO is not a scam by that definition. However there are scams being run on the internet as far as tactics, tips can procedures to use SEO to market your business. Most of these “Internet Gurus” are selling either recycled things that you can get on the internet, or worse yet, their own concoction that doesn’t work.
That part of SEO is definitely a scam with so many people wanting to know the “inside scoop” and not have to do things the hard way. Not all SEO packages are scams, but a good majority of the stuff sold on the internet is indeed a scam when it comes to the tactics and strategies that you need to make SEO a success for you and your business. That is the really sad part. The scammers make it bad for those that really have the inside story.
SEO as a technique also isn’t a scam. It is well thought out and approved by WC3 for use with search engines. WC3 would not approve a scam for use on the World Wide Web by any means. The problem with SEO comes in when the search results don’t match what the user is looking for. That alone doesn’t make it a scam. It is just time for a new way to use SEO. Within the next two years, the WC3 has mandated that organic searches will replace SEO. This will search in a different fashion than today’s SEO.
So, in actuality SEO is not a scam. Unfortunately, the scammers that use SEO have really left a bad impression with people using SEO. There is legitimate information that you can use for SEO out there. A rule of thumb when it comes to purchasing this information online. If you are given something that sounds too good to be true or promises that you will make an obscene amount of money in a short time, then yes, it is a scam and should be avoided. You can also report the scammer to the respective search engines to shut them down.
All in all, SEO is not a scam. That does not mean that it is scam free however. You will have those opportunistic people that will feed on those that are desperate for high rankings. The best policy to use when using SEO is to use your common sense both when using SEO and also when trying to purchase information about it from the Internet. You can also turn to places such as Google AdWords and Overture in order to get sound advice from them about SEO and how to use it. So remember, SEO itself is not a scam but there are scams for selling SEO techniques to the public.

This is a question that can have at least two answers. As of the current system in place, the answer is yes. WC3 basically sets up the rules for internet rankings and as such, their guidelines should be followed. The validation process is also important as it will not only validate your site, but also validate it for use on the internet. Any site that doesn’t follow the WC3 rules and guidelines will be taken down per their instructions. Sounds like a monopoly doesn’t it? Well the cold hard fact is that there are rules and regulations about website rankings that they have developed that are fair to all concerned.
Now, on the other side of the coin, you will get people arguing that it doesn’t matter and they will not conform to those rules. While their sites may get up, they will not stay up. WC3 basically controls the internet and their guidelines are important. But that doesn’t stop people from trying to bend the rules or break them. The rule infractions will cause a site to be deactivated and you also run the possibility of being banned from the internet period. Sometimes the rules that WC3 puts up are not easily understood and it can feel like a monopoly.
These rules are put into place so that everyone has a fair chance to be ranked on a search engine. And the validation of these pages allow for them to be used on the internet. The rules that validate search engines, at this point are a guideline for these pages. This is the way to set up pages for website rankings. They have done years of research on the best way to validate a business website so that it can be ranked by Google and other search engines.
So the validation process is important for the successful ranking of a web site, no matter which engine ranks it. It can’t be stressed enough that what the WC3 mandates as far as these pages are concerned is the right way to do business and still be included on the search engines. Validation simply means that all parts conform to WC3 standards and are working properly. If you have a page that isn’t in line with the validation, then you will be stuck until you write the page properly for validation. That is just how it is.
So the true answer, to the evidence given is yes, the WC3 mandates are very important when it comes to validation of websites. These rules need to be followed especially when you are talking about commercial or corporation web pages. Those are the pages that the rules were mostly written for anyway. If you have a validated website, especially in the commercial areas then it can be immediately placed on an engine for ranking. The validation simply means that it has passed WC3 standards for ranking on the Web. This will only help you if your page is WC3 compliant. This means that you will have no trouble getting ranked.

When you are talking about SEO, there are always at least two different sides of SEO. That is the human side and the technical side. Each one contributes to SEO in different ways. But the two do work together hand in hand to create SEO worthy content in order to bring more business to any particular business that is listed on the web. How this works is that the human will begin by writing web content for their site and will also start writing advertisements for a search engine at the same time.
This is where the technical side steps in. In order to write a high ranking advertisement, you will need the technical knowledge of what SEO is, how it works, and also a program to help you write that advertisement. Google AdWords is usually the place of choice when writing advertisements. When a human is writing content, they will have to optimize it by adding high ranking keywords and phrases in their content, much the same as they would do using Google AdWords or any other program of this nature. Google and other tools such as Overture will help you to choose the high ranking keywords that will propel your business to the top.
There are other tools for helping with keyword selection and they include Free Meta Keyword tool, Keyword Research Tool, and Website Keyword Suggestions. Each of these tools will help you to get the right keywords for your particular niche. Google AdWords will also offer suggestions for keywords. Remember that you have a very limited space for writing your advertisement so every word must count. It will take several tries of writing before you hit on the perfect advertisement for you and your business. You will then write it and submit it to AdWords, being careful not to violate the TOS.
After that happens, then you will need to wait for a while in order to get your ranking. You can check your ranking through ALEXA as well as using tools such as Myriad Search, Search Results compared and MSN Position search to tell you where you are currently ranked by each search engine. This will give you some idea of where you rank. This technology can save time, money and frustration by comparing multiple search engines. So the combination of human and technology together can make or break your site.
You have to be able to understand how to use the technology in order to use it well and to help you improve your ranking through SEO. A human can write the content, and the technology can make it better, but if there is no understanding on the part of the human, then the technology will be a waste of time and money. There is an old computer term that is well worth mentioning here and is very pertinent to SEO. GIGO or garbage in, garbage out is the phrase that suits here. It simply means that if you put garbage into the technology, then that is all that you will get out. Understand the technology will help both the human and technology work together for the best interests of both.

When you have an existing web page, one of the signs of trouble is the fact that your web page rank is dropping worse than a stone flung into a pond. There are several reasons why this could be happening and we will talk about the top reasons why this is happening. If you have a high page rank and it suddenly goes south for the winter so to speak, you need to know what is going wrong and get it fixed pronto! This is your livelihood, so you can bet there are several reasons why this is happening. Let’s talk about those reasons, now.
One top reason is that for some reason either your page code has changed or the spiders do not recognize new code after a page update or overhaul. This is easy to rectify. Either resubmit the site or have Google refresh your page. That is the easier way to get spiders back and ranking your page again. Another reason is that your content has not been updated in quite a while. Old content will sink your page ranking faster than the sinking of the Titanic. Check to be sure that all links are current and working. Make sure that your content is also updated in a timely manner.
If the spiders get old content, they will assume one of two things that either the content hasn’t been updated or this is a dead page. If you have a page that is live, but the spiders aren’t crawling it, then there is another problem. Make sure that your page is indeed active and make sure that the servers are active and not down. A down server can also read as a dead page to a spider, so that is another reason that your page may be getting a bad ranking.
Here is a startling reason for a bad ranking – Plagiarism and complaints against your site. This will lower a ranking so fast, it will make your head spin. If your site has a lot of complaints or has anything even remotely plagiarized, your site ranking will fall flat. You will also get into hot water if you have any content like that on your site. If you have spammed people or scammed them, your rank will go right down the toilet! Make sure you keep your site aboveboard with the content and don’t spam people.
Our last reason is one very simple one. You need to update your content with higher ranking keywords and phrases. If your content is out of date and someone has higher ranking keywords, then your site will be the loser in the competition. Periodically update your page with fresh content that has been researched and the highest ranking keywords possible should be on your site. Keep your content fresh and new and the spiders will love your site. They will also award you with a higher ranking. So bear all this in mind when you have a problem with your page rankings.
